Built in 1905, this historic property in Scarsdale, New York was beautifully renovated by Greenwich-based architectural firm Granoff Architects for Mark and Lisa Bezos. The house is described as “one of the most beautiful homes in Scarsdale.” It welcomes the visitors and residents of the house with a double-height entrance foyer topped with large classic stained glass ceiling skylight.

Oval stained and leaded glass dome ceiling with crystal chandelier for an oval staircase delivers natural light in the most aesthetically pleasing style.  There were two decorative glass skylights developed for one large living space. The goal was to create slightly different in design and approach decorative glass ceilings to add interest and adventure to the clients’ experience. Large stained and leaded glass square skylight was installed above the double-height great room to bring natural light to space below. The clear ellipse stained and leaded glass skylight was designed to crown an intricate oval staircase

The interior design was developed by London (UK) and Toronto (Canada) based Timothy Mather Design. More images of this project can be found on Timothy Mather’s website.

A small square stained and leaded glass skylight ceiling in Neo-Gothic style with accent jewels was designed to add character and ambient light to a double-height hallway of the historical property in downtown Toronto. The client expressed an interest in the Gothic aesthetics of large old European cathedrals. For inspiration, we picked the beautiful ceiling of  Peterborough Cathedral in the United Kingdom (the Cathedral Church of St Peter, St Paul and St Andrew).

Classically modern leaded glass window design for the bathroom and staircase window to add privacy and beauty to the space. The leaded glass design was developed to match a front entrance double door with transom window for a traditional house in King City. The leaded glass design was inspired by our rosette stained and leaded glass domes with a contemporary twist in design. For the same client, we created a modern leaded glass door set with transom window inserts

This is our second project with Artistic Line Studio. In this project, we wanted to replace dull builder doors and side windows in our house with a sophisticated and unique design. Artistic Line Studio owner listened to our wishes and then recommended a design which was much better than what we've imagined. She was able to align the design with the outside architecture of the house, internal style and proposed door finish. She explained why some of our ideas wouldn't work and we are very glad that we listed to her. She also made excellent recommendations for the door hardware to match the windows. Artistic Line Studio also had good co-ordination with the supplier who was manufacturing and installing the doors. This door supplier is a large 20+ yrs old company, and their people were very impressed with the windows. They said that they have not seen such a beautiful design before.
