contemporary abstract stained glass wall divider

Contemporary abstract stained glass wall divider for a living room of a private residence in Mississauga. The interior space was redesigned by celebrity interior designer Kimberly Seldon. The walls were removed to open up the living space. The decorative glass wall divider aesthetically isolates the entrance into the basement and washroom in an artful way.  The panel is designed with powerful lead lines and open free shape edge of glass panel. Very thick fused glass elements are textured highlights for the panel that add dynamic stunning effects to glass artwork

We also completed for the same client the art mosaic panel in abstract style made of white and gold smalty, and pale yellow glass rocks installed above the fireplace

Contemporary stained glass hangings were designed for a charming owner of a private residence in High Park – Bloor Village area in Toronto, who is in love and balance with nature. The client is a passionate gardener with a beautiful garden in the backyard of the house. The goal of the stained glass project was to block an ugly view from the side windows of the sunroom and keep open the view to a beautiful garden in the backyard. The stained and leaded glass panels were designed as decorative hangings to have the possibility to take them if the client moves to a different location. A few years later we packed the art glass panels for the client who moved to a new home on Vancouver Island, BC

Artistic Line Studio (now called Victoria Balva Glass Studio) caught my eye at the National Home Show. Victoria's work was unusual, creative and beautiful. Needing stained glass windows for my breakfast room, I asked for a consultation. Victoria came to my home to see where the new windows would be placed. She asked many questions to help her understand what I wanted from this project and offered several ideas. We met at her studio where she showed me the various types of glass available and helped me select colours and materials. She provided me with 3 design choices. All were terrific. A few weeks later the windows were installed and were beyond my expectations. Stunning works of art that bring me great joy every day. Victoria and her team are consummate professionals. Her pride in her work and attention to detail shows. The designs are all original and creative. Her choice of materials, exquisite. When I accidentally cracked one of the windows, it was repaired in a way that incorporated the repair into the design. As a client, I felt listened to and my ideas considered. Choose Victoria Balva Glass Studio and you will be looking at a beautiful functional piece of art for many years to come. Highly recommended!

Modern art line design for the contemporary stained and leaded glass windows installed at the historical house in Richmond Hill. Simple minimal geometry, powerful art lines, textured clear art glass to add privacy to the high traffic areas and block and the unpleasant view from the window

This contemporary double entrance front door inserts with a transom window was one of the first independent commissions that I created for the client in Oakville back in 2003. As a young glass artist, I was very lucky to meet a client with an artistic background and cooperate on this project to reflect the unique contemporary style of living of the family. At that time I was adored by colours and intricate linework of Curtis R Doll Jr. His clear stained and leaded glass windows with beautiful geometry and intricate linework inspired me to create this door set inserts paying close attention to linework.  Ever since I treat lines not as a technical element to connect different pieces of glass but as a strong visual language to express and transform the interior space with light and glass. This project set a starting point for a large series of art glass in my portfolio

Additionally, for the same client, we created a set of suspended stained and leaded art glass panels for the double-height family room
